At Shadow Acres Farm we have Purebred Arabian Horses that are well bred, people oriented, and child friendly. They are well rounded and have been exposed to many situations. Our Arabian Mares and Arabian Geldings are comfortable as Arabian Show Horses, on a family trail ride, or working on the family farm.
We raise Purebred Black Angus Cattle of the highest quality, and all our horses are familiar with cattle.
The Finely Bred Arabian Horses have pedigrees of the highest quality, of which we are very proud. You will see names such as Bask, Allience, Khemosabi, and many others in their Pedigrees.
Shadow Acres Farm is located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, and is owned by Kyle and Lynn McAlister. Two of their four children work on the farm. Kyle grew up in West Texas and has been around horses and cattle his entire life. He is a practicing physician and finds farming relaxing after a long day at work. Kyle attended Veterinary school before medical school, and this gives him an edge over the casual weekend farmer.
Laura, a 14 year old daughter, received her first Purebred Arabian on Christmas Day 1999. Since then, a little girl's Christmas present has turned into a passion for horses. Her sister, Maggie, also shares this love.
Our herd has expanded since that Christmas Day, and we now are breeding Quality Purebred Arabians, attending numerous shows, and recently won our first National Championship! When our horses are not showing or working, they live in a well maintained pasture. At Shadow Acres Farm, we believe that a natural setting produces healthier horses and foals.
Our Farm recently began offering Boarding, Trail Rides and overnight stays at our Guest Cabin. We offer long and short term boarding, guided trail rides, and overnight stays at our guest cabin.
